Resumed his solo performances as Ian Antoni and also began producing recorded works for other songwriters and aspiring performers from his own private studios.

The 1999 release of Trial & Error (as Gravell) to good reviews at a local level but little overall interest, resulted in him concentrating more and more on his solo work as Ian Antoni, performing Santana, Peter Green and Pink Floyd covers alongside the odd Sinatra standard, the results of which are a full gig book and regular appearances at Cardiff's prestigious St. David's Hall.
